How We Treat

Jones PT offers four phases of care, and three of these phases deal with your physical therapy needs. They are as follows:

  • Phase 1 – Relief Care
  • Phase 2 – Corrective Care
  • Phase 3 – Restorative Care

Each of these phases of care will be explained by your therapist and some of the most common treatment methods are found below.

Your physical therapy treatment will be based upon physician diagnosis, physician recommendation, and our evaluation. This combination allows the therapist at Jones PT to individualize your treatment which may include but is not limited to the following:

    Modalities are used to reduce pain, inflammation, and accelerate the healing process. Modalities used include: Ultrasound and Phonophoresis, Electrical Stimulation, TENS, Iontophoresis, Heat, and Ice.

  • Therapeutic Exercise

    These are specific interventions that will target areas which present with decreased flexibility, strength, mobility, balance, and performance.

  • Manual Therapy

    Manual therapy is a “hands on” component to our program. The manual therapy approach includes joint mobilization, muscle energy, massage, and propriceptive neuromuscular facilitation. These techniques will improve mobility, flexibility, joint stability, strength, and reduce pain.

    The therapist at Jones PT: Physical Therapy & Physical Training will educate all patients of their condition and rehabilitation prognosis. Education is also facilitated by the use of pictures and models to assist the patient to understand their condition or injury and the healing process.
